Get Found Everywhere Americans Search Locally, Not Just on Google

Pain

Your customer in Phoenix asks Siri. Your customer in Chicago asks ChatGPT. Your customer in Austin checks Yelp. If you've only optimized Google, you're invisible to two of them.

In BrightLocal's 2026 US survey, consumers used an average of six review sites when choosing a local business, and AI search engines were the third most-used recommendation source after Facebook and Google.

Most US local SEO still stops at the Google Business Profile. That leaves gaps everywhere else:

  • Apple Maps place cards run unclaimed.
  • Bing listings that ChatGPT draws on are years out of date.
  • Yelp pages show the wrong hours.

Every gap is a customer who found a competitor first.

Promise

Epicware's team is based in Singapore and runs local SEO for US businesses online. Rankings are measured where your customers search, from your metro's own grid points.

We put your business in front of local searchers wherever they look: Google Maps, Apple Maps, Bing, the directories AI tools read, and the review sites Americans check. Then we track it street by street, so you see exactly where you win and where you don't.

Google ranks local results mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. Whitespark's 2026 Local Search Ranking Factors survey asked 47 local SEO experts to score 187 factors, and for the first time included AI search visibility — which is exactly where most US local SEO still falls short.

How US local search differs

Distance works differently in the US. A Singapore searcher is rarely more than a few kilometres from a dozen options; a searcher in suburban Texas may be choosing across 20 miles.

That changes the playbook:

  • service-area setup matters more,
  • and metro-level rank tracking matters more than a single citywide number.

What's included

  • Google Business Profile, optimized: categories, services, photos, posts and Q&A, all within Google's rules.
  • Apple Business Connect: your place card claimed and completed, so iPhone users get your real hours, photos and actions in Apple Maps and Siri. Apple Business Connect is a free tool that lets businesses claim and manage their place card across Apple Maps, Siri, Messages and Wallet.
  • Bing Places: imported from Google and maintained, so the listings Microsoft and ChatGPT draw on stay accurate. Bing Places lets a business import its details from an existing Google Business Profile, and early research suggests Bing listings influence the web results ChatGPT draws on.
  • US citations: name, address and phone kept consistent across the directories American buyers and data aggregators use, Yelp and BBB included.
  • Location and service-area pages: one page per location or metro you serve, with LocalBusiness schema.
  • Metro-level rank tracking: EpicMap grids across your service area, updated weekly, from Dallas suburbs to Brooklyn blocks.

Proof

  • A five-outlet restaurant chain grew organic traffic 24.1% over six months.

Software

EpicMap scans your rankings on a grid across your service area every week, so you see your visibility the way a customer three miles away sees it, not just from your front door.

FAQ

Is Google still the only local search that matters in the US?

It's the biggest, but not the only one. US consumers now check several platforms, and AI assistants increasingly answer "best [service] near me" questions. A complete local presence covers Google, Apple Maps, Bing and the major review sites.

Do I need Apple Maps if my customers use Google?

Many of your customers use both. Apple Maps powers Siri and the Maps app on every iPhone. Claiming your place card through Apple Business Connect is free and takes the guesswork out of what iPhone users see.

How does Bing affect ChatGPT?

ChatGPT's web results draw on Bing, and early research suggests Bing Places listings influence what it finds. An accurate Bing listing, imported from your Google profile, is cheap insurance for AI visibility.

We serve customers at their homes. Can we still rank?

Yes. Service-area businesses rank in the Map Pack without showing an address. The setup has to follow Google's service-area rules, and your pages and citations need to reflect the areas you serve.

How do you measure results across a whole metro?

EpicMap places a grid of points across your service area and checks your ranking from each one, weekly. You see a heat map of where you rank, not one number from one location.

How long does local SEO take in the US?

Profile and citation fixes often show in local rankings within 30–60 days. Competitive metros take longer, and organic website rankings usually take several months.
