Fake Reviews Removed. Honest Ones Answered. Built for US Review Rules.
Pain
One fake 1-star review can drag a 4.6 below 4.5. In 2026, that's the line nearly a third of American consumers won't cross.
In BrightLocal's 2026 US survey, 97% of consumers read reviews for local businesses, and 31% will only use a business rated 4.5 stars or higher, up from 17% a year earlier. That's a filter, not a preference.
When a competitor, an ex-employee or a bot drops a fake review on your Google or Yelp profile, it doesn't just sting. It quietly removes you from the shortlist.
Most owners try clicking "report" once, hear nothing, and give up. The review stays. The rating stays. The calls go elsewhere.
Promise
Epicware's team is based in Singapore and handles review removal for US businesses entirely online. Platform reports, evidence and follow-up don't depend on where we sit; your profile does.
We find the reviews that break Google's or Yelp's rules, build the evidence, file the report the way moderators actually assess it, and follow up until there's a decision. If the platform keeps the review up, you get your money back.
Google removes reviews only when they break its Maps content policy, and does not reinstate reviews removed for violations. Google's content policy prohibits incentivised reviews and selectively soliciting positive reviews from customers. We only ever report reviews against that actual policy — never because a rating is simply low.
The honest negative reviews we don't touch. We help you answer them well instead, because a fair reply often wins more customers than the review cost you.
What we won't do (and why that protects you)
The FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465) took effect on 21 October 2024 and lets the FTC seek civil penalties for fake reviews. The same rule bans buying positive or negative reviews and using groundless legal threats or intimidation to suppress negative reviews. The Consumer Review Fairness Act voids non-disparagement clauses in consumer form contracts, so a business cannot contract its way out of honest negative reviews.
So we never:
- report a genuine review just because it's negative,
- offer reviewers anything to edit or delete a review,
- threaten legal action over honest opinions.
Every report we file is one you could show a regulator.
What's included
- Review audit: every review on your Google Business Profile and Yelp page checked against each platform's content policy, sorted into removable, answerable and leave alone.
- Evidence pack: for each removable review, the specific policy breached, plus supporting proof such as no matching customer record, a reviewer pattern across competitor profiles, or conflict-of-interest signs.
- Filing and follow-up: reports submitted through Google's review management tool and Yelp for Business, with escalation and appeal where the platform allows it.
- Reply drafts: for honest negative reviews, professional public replies that address the issue without arguing.
- Monitoring: new Google reviews flagged as they arrive, so a fake-review attack is caught in hours, not months.

FAQ
Can you remove any negative Google review?
No, and anyone who promises that is either lying or breaking Google's rules. Google removes reviews that violate its content policy, such as spam, fake engagement, conflicts of interest, off-topic or offensive content. A genuine bad experience, described honestly, stays up. We tell you which category each review falls into before you pay.
How is a Yelp review different from a Google review?
Yelp won't remove a review just because it's negative. Its recommendation software can also move reviews it doesn't trust into a separate "not currently recommended" section, outside the main rating. A removal report has to show a specific breach of Yelp's content guidelines, so the evidence matters more than the complaint.
Is it legal to get reviews removed in the US?
Yes, when the review breaks platform rules. What the FTC targets is the opposite: buying reviews, faking them, or suppressing honest ones through threats or gag clauses. Reporting a genuinely fake review is exactly what the platforms ask businesses to do.
What if a competitor is posting fake reviews about us?
That's one of the strongest removal cases. Coordinated reviews often leave a pattern, such as accounts with no history, similar wording, or reviews of several competitors at once. We document the pattern and report the reviews as fake engagement.
Can I sue someone over a fake review?
Sometimes, under state defamation law, but it's slow and costly, and the platform itself is generally shielded from liability for user content. Removal through the platform is faster and cheaper, and it's where we start. For legal action, speak to a US attorney.
How long does removal take?
It depends on the platform's queue. Many decisions arrive within days to a few weeks, and appeals add time. We follow up at every stage and tell you the outcome either way.
